Buses Ríos is an intercity bus company that was founded in 1983, which sells bus tickets to different areas of South and Central Chile, which began with the private transportation of students studying at the Adventist University of Chile, in the city of Chillán.
Since then, more than 30 years have passed, in which this company has expanded its business, transporting passengers on the route that covers Santiago, Chillán and Puerto Montt, as well as the company Via-Tur. In 2013, the company began its interprovincial service with departures from Valdivia, Tirúa, Angol, Los Ángeles, Chillán, Rancagua and Santiago.
The Buses Ríos fleet has approximately 23 buses with an average age of 6.9 years, which includes minibuses, taxibuses and buses that can carry from 1 to 64 passengers. Regarding security, during the second semester of 2016, of every 100 buses that were supervised by the Undersecretariat of Transport, 9 had some problem for which they were fined. It should be noted that all the company's buses are duly registered in the National Registry of Public Passenger Transport or in the National Registry of Paid Private Transport.
