Buses Ciktur is an intercity bus company in northern Chile that operates mainly between Iquique and Santiago. It also works for the most important mining companies in the north of the country.
This family project that was founded in 1980 joining the towns of Ovalle, Tongoy and Guanaqueros in the Coquimbo Region. In 1987, he created his first interurban route, connecting the city of Ovalle with Santiago.
The Buses Ciktur fleet has 98 modern buses, of which 85% are double-decker (one of the first companies to have this type of bus in the country), with a year of manufacture after 2008, and an average 4.5 years old. During the second half of 2016 of every 100 checks carried out by the Ministry of Transportation, only 13 were fined for finding that they did not meet the minimum technical conditions regarding safety.
In addition, the Ciktur bus fleet has Semi-Bed and Bed seats that allow you to recline for a more comfortable trip, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner on board for all your long-distance trips. It has an on-board entertainment service called "Wifi Player" which consists of an application that allows you to watch movies, games, read selected books or listen to the playlist of music available during the trip only by connecting to the Wi-Fi network of the bus. He also works for the most important mining companies in the north of the country, providing personnel transport services, leasing buses and minibuses and special trips.
Ciktur is part of the National Federation of Rural, Interurban and International Passenger Transport Buses (FENABUS).
Today, it unites cities throughout the north of the country with the sale of bus tickets from Santiago and Valparaíso to La Serena, Ovalle, Coquimbo, Copiapó, Tocopilla, Sierra Gorda, San Pedro de Atacama, Calama, Antofagasta, Iquique and many more .
